Nigel Moffatt was awarded the Samuel Beckett Award for Mamma Decemba (published by Faber & Faber), the Giles Cooper Award for Lifetime (published by Methuen), the Colorado Film Festival Judges’ Prize for Short Trousers, the Butler Trust Award for “outstanding work in prison care” as writer-in-residence at Shrewsbury Prison. He wrote When Love Dies ("a masterpiece" The Listener) for Channel 4 and other plays for BBC Radio, theatre, TV, and film, and recorded his song Peace, Love & Harmony for the Love the Reason album on Paul Weller’s Respond Label. He has been ignored over recent years, during which he has continued his life’s love of writing.
